Fearne Cotton shared a positive health update with fans, revealed she's 'healing well' after undergoing an operation to remove the benign tumours on her jawline. The 42-year-old star previously shared the healing process with fans in a post on Instagram showcasing the bandages and scarring.

And now, four months on, Fearne shared a selfie where she was smiling at the camera while sitting at her desk. Along with a general update of her life, she wrote: "Had an ultra sound today and I'm happy to say that I'm healing well post operation and there is not a scrap of tumour left on my parotid gland. Grateful. To those of you who sent me messages that have a similar operation coming up I'm sending love for your recovery."

Fans were delighted to hear the happy news and took to her comment section to send their well wishes. One user said: "Big hugs and so glad to hear about the healing! Long may it continue."

Another posted: "Beautiful Fearne, absolutely wonderful photos and news. Wishing you a beautiful Easter weekend." One happy fan added: "So glad your scan came back clear."

Fearne previously appeared on Lorraine to discuss the diagnosis and the operation she underwent. After praising Davina McCall for her support during difficult times, she said she felt "weirdly calm" after learning she had two benign tumours.

She reflected that fear hadn't really affected her, admitting: "I felt weirdly calm and I'm not sure why. I was very lucky it was benign, it ended up being one tumour and I had to have a few lymph nodes out."

Opening up about her medical ordeal, she further explained: "The tumour had wrapped itself around a nerve that controls all facial expressions.

There is a bit of a risk but I felt like I was in really good hands and I knew the risks and I was quite curious about the whole process and interested by it and I just feel very grateful that I have completely recovered."

Since her surgery, Fearne has received an outpour of support from concerned fans, with many sharing their own health battles. The beloved broadcaster expressed her gratitude for being able to offer hope to those reaching out, reassuring them "it'll be ok," after her own recovery.

In December, the star took to Instagram to share pictures of her healing process three weeks after the operation. "I found the whole process fascinating and feel very grateful that the operation went well and that the tumour was benign," she said.

"My surgeon Professor Oflynn made me feel extremely calm and all the nurses were complete angels. Nurse Jackie was especially amazing whilst I was in hospital telling me to get off my phone and nap etc. I needed a firm telling off at times.

"Feeling grateful that I'm healing well and will always wear this scar with pride. A reminder to slow down and look after myself."
